Tamriel’s favorite wacky daedra, Sheogorath,mmo free to play is coming to The Elder Scrolls Online. From Dec. 14 to Dec. 19, the PvP Versus Arena mode will be subject to his whims, with the usual Field and Shadow lanes being replaced with random effects found more often in the PvE form of the game mode, as well as a few non-lane-related effects that are new to the game.
The list of differing effects is extensive, and can be found on the blog post on the Legends site. Some of the craziest transform summoned creatures into random animals, copying keywords, or even having players switch decks at the start of the game.
If all this randomness isn’t your cup of tea, don’t worry; you can still play the standard arena modes, though you can get a free ticket to the Chaos Arena by purchasing the Madhouse Collection — which seems like a remarkably non-random way to get things. I’m sure Sheogorath wouldn’t approve.
